Tired but full of new music

I should be completely exhausted. I'm tired, but alive and working and moving and stuff. Yesterday was a massive cleaning day. We had family over to help clean ALL THE THINGS (or as much as possible in one day) and move things, fix things, organize things as best we could. I'm still a bit overwhelmed by what we have left to do -- feels like it's worse now than when we started. But, we're closer than we have been before to getting ready for our walkthrough with the foster care worker.

After everyone left, shadowfell and I went out to Lawrence for a yummy sushi dinner and the Beats Antique concert (where, yes, Zoe Jakes was also). I don't think I've ever been to a concert that was more danced (actually danced, not moshed) by the attendants, or to one where I knew so many people. It was a little surreal. Also, surprise two opening bands for a concert that started at 10pm. Eeep!

But, both "The Tailor" and "Dumptruck Butterlips" were amazing openers. I bought one of the CDs available by "The Tailor" (which I HIGHLY recommend checking out if you like Beats Antique) and would've bought anything Dumptruck had, if they'd had anything. You can listen to them on Soundcloud though: Dumptruck Butterlips if you like a kooky blue grass type music.

It was totally fun, even though I didn't get home until like 2:30 in the morning, and had to teach a class this afternoon. I think I even did a pretty good job at teaching despite the lack of sleep, and the pain left over from my busy Saturday. It doesn't stop here though. I think Matt and I will take a rest break tonight after dinner to enjoy what's left of our evening, but the rest of the week is going to be hectic with cleaning and organizing to get ready for Friday.

Good lord what time did Beats Antique go on?

They didn't go on until midnight. And they played for about two hours straight.

I need to get some music by The Tailor. He was a lot of fun. And yeah, it was weird to be at a concert where I knew so many people.
