So, the nonsense I vaguely mentioned the other day in regards to my stressful weekend is pretty much over. There's still a few loose ends I have to manage - because people are bizarre, but it's much less stressful now. *sigh of relief* However, I did find out that most of this nonsense was started over a LIE. One stupid, pointless lie told to one person -- and as a result the person who was lied to, pretty much wrecked a good thing. Seriously, I'll be more candid later, but I'm glad this whole situation is almost over.

A little pimpage:

adifferentdrum and her brother are starting up a homemade Whoopie Pie business. And, if you're interested they've got a good deal at the moment where you can get on the list as a taste tester. I'm on the list, and there's only 4 spots left. So, if it sounds like your kind of thing, head over to Renegade Baker and check them out.

If you live in or around the KC area, and are in need of a car - my dad is selling his truck. First, I'm super proud of him for figuring out you know - Craigslist. He's not computer savvy (or he is, but only when he wants to be - like if fantasy baseball is involved) but he managed most of it on his own. The ad is here if you're interested, or know someone who might be. It's a good truck and served him well for a long time. But he needs the money badly - he's got some bills related to his health issues that are stacking up, and vet bills from when they had to put Dusty down back in December. So, they could really use it.

Also, PAX is going to be super exciting next week. _inneruniverse , c_yo_yus and I will be rocking it with @violetzombie and @leftybrown and @missleftybrown from The Married Gamers. Plus, most of us will have other family (Matt's going with me) and friends (*crossing fingers* that to_paraphrase can join us). So, it's going to be action packed! I cannot even tell you how excited I am already, and it's just getting better.

So, if you're in Seattle and you want to hang out next weekend, let me know. We're planning a big lunch out one day (I'm going to actually make reservations somewhere) and people are welcome to join us.

Now, I'm running out to pick up some lunch, because I'm in serious need of some caffination and a Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (diet) from Sonic sounds amazing. I was up too late last night, but it was worth it.

Gah! Last.fm is being stupid.

I CANNOT WAIT! Seriously it's the only thing getting me through the next week. I'm extremely happy that so many of us will be there together.

PS. Did you get my email yesterday?

Yup. To be honest, I don't know that either person has told the complete truth about it. But, I'm actually willing to believe that there was a little fudging of the truth (about how much was changed) when they talked. I don't want to, but I think it might have happened.

Husband thinks he's going to PAX, but he never bought tickets, so I have no idea how he's going to do that.

Let me know about the lunch thing; to be honest, the idea of a huge group of strangers scares the shit out of me because I am a freak who can't handle lots of noise or large groups, but another part of me wants to go.

I think that daily passes are still available, so if he wants to go one day he should be able to make it.

I don't know yet about lunch but I'm doing my best to make it happen. I'll let you know as soon as I figure out what's happening. It'd be great to meet you and hang out for a bit - and really we're a nice bunch of nerdy strangers. You wouldn't be the only one there out of your element though. I think that's par for the geeky/nerdy course.
