Writer's Block: Top ten playlist

What is your top-ten song list? What was it when you were a kid? Is there any overlap?

Seriously, who has a static top-ten song list? I sure don't. I'm not even sure I could pick just 10 songs. It's like those desert island questions: movies, books, music there's no way I could just pick one or five or ten items to take with me. If I picked 10 I could be happy with them (for a long while) but as soon as I had more to listen to, the list would change.

Even as a kid, I couldn't decide on one or five or ten songs I liked. But here's a few I know I liked (and still do - although I'm not sure they warrant a top ten):
"I'm on Fire" - Bruce Springsteen
"That's Why they Call it the Blues" - Elton John
"Africa" - Toto
"Every Breath You Take" - The Police

I have my father to thank for my classic rock tastes.

Yeah, that's me too. Although looking at the four songs I remember liking as a kid - I look at "Africa" and think one of these things is not like the others...one of these things just doesn't belong.

Plus, stalker songs much? What was wrong with me? ;)

Oh wow, those songs are pretty much part of my childhood soundtrack ("Music My Parents Listened To On The Radio"). Also "ManEater" by Hall and Oates, "Part-Time Lover" by Stevie Wonder, "Sweet Dreams are Made of These" by the Eurhythmics. Just listening to these songs transports me to my childhood and makes me smile.

Oh, "Sweet Dreams" is definitely on the list. I also wasn't a "Man-Eater" fan, but "Rich Girl". :)
