Days #11, #12 & #13

It's been reasonably busy and boring the last few days.

Thursday evening I met with the Startup Weekend Top Chirp team. We've got a project we're ready to move forward on, and I think it's pretty exciting since it's got a great deal to do with role-playing games. As a matter of face, I volunteered to run a D&D game for the guys in the group (and the one other woman, if she shows) so that they can experience role-playing for the first time, or the first time in a long time. It's not new for me to GM, but for me to volunteer to run a 4th edition game, that's definitely not within my normal behavior.

Friday, I had a whole mess of weird work things going on. I've got this project that won't die, and nothing seems to be going right with it. But I did manage to squeeze in some time to work on the design for my Tumblr blog - which I'm totally obsessed with. So, I fixed the code, and I'm liking the layout much more. Also, I found some videos of George Watsky's poetry on YouTube. I'm totally in love with this one:

And late last night, I tried to download Magic: the Gathering for XBOX Live, but the code I have didn't work, so I downloaded the trial and played with that for a bit. I lost, but Matt gave it a try and beat the first level for me. Matt and I have also been watching Bollywood Hero with Chris Kattan on IFC. Anyone seen it?

Today, Matt and I had lunch with his family because his cousin is heading out to Wyoming for college tomorrow. And I broke down and bought a 4E D&D book that I actually really like. It's the new Dungeon Delve book, and I have to admit that it's a really great idea for a book, and I think that more RPGs should have books like this.
