REPO! in Kansas City again

I received an email from Terrance AKA GraveRobber from REPO!. He says that REPO! the Genetic Opera will be in KC again at the Screenland Theater on Washington the weekend of December 19th - 21st. I'm so excited to go see this movie again. It's awesome stuff. The CD has been on repeat on my car for about a week now. I know this isn't for everyone, but I think everyone should give it at least one shot. If you're in KC, or are going to be that weekend, please go check it out.

My review of REPO over at Gaming Angels: here.

Hey. Welcome. I got to see the tour show when they came through, and I'm really glad there's going to be some sort of show between now and the DVD release in January.

I think I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD. I've been to a couple of Screenland events and it's just a little to "OMG!Scene!" for me.

I have very mixed feelings about seeing the movie itself. On one hand, Anthony Stewart Head, Sarah Brightman, Ogre...

...And on the other hand, Paris fucking Hilton.

Seriously, I hate to admit it, but Paris was a perfect choice for this movie. Sure, she's not a great singer or anything, but she's not in it much and when she is, you barely even recognize her. Matt didn't even realize it was her until the credits ran at the end. I think it's worth the money, and time, and effort of wading through the scene crowd to see this movie - I'll be seeing it again at this event. Plus, this crowd is far more cosplay/goth than scene kids.

I'll suck it up eventually and see it, but still the idea of doing anything that puts money in that woman's pocket is a bitter pill to swallow.
