Seriously behind on my NaNoWriMo story. I really don't know what I was thinking this year trying to come up with a story that I've had no time to think about. Not too mention, trying to get a holiday guide for Gaming Angels every single day this week is putting a cramp in my style. By the time I'm ready to work on the story, I'm really tired of sitting at the computer. I'd write by hand if I thought I'd be able to be as productive as I am when I type. Also, I finally got my hands on a copy of Amy Sedaris' I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence which I've been wanting for forever. It's the best comedy/cookbook/entertainers guide ever. I know many of you will be surprised to hear this, but I'd actually rather be cooking stuff right now that worrying about GA or my NaNo.

We've cut back a bit and are doing three Thanksgivings this year. Two the day of, and one on Saturday at our house. The two on Thursday should be relatively low-key, but I still need to write and put up a guide that day, so I'm a little worried about time. I never shop on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving for you non-Americans) and the deals this year seem pretty lame anyway, so I'm not even sure Matt's going to go out either. The one thing I am sort of hoping to get is the PS3 bundle that Amazon is going to have Thursday. If I can snag that, I'll be really happy. Three Thanksgivings means we're missing my mother's and one with some other friends. But we've tried doing all four in a day, and it's a nightmare. One of these years, we're gonna get our butts in gear and make people come to us.

In knitting certification progress news, I completely scrapped the sweater I'd been working on. I have no idea if I'll ever finish, maybe someday. For now, I found a pretty simple vintage looking pattern that I've already been able to get half of finished. I have to rip out a few rows to fix the split from front to back for the arms, but I didn't get too far, so it won't take too long. This sweater is making me much more hopeful about my completion progress come the first of December.

I should check out that 'cook' book. I ended up cooking up a storm last night to ease my anxious mind, so I can understand what you mean about just wanting to cook instead of worrying about things...
