Crafty Crap.

Here's my current crafty project. It's not what I'm supposed to be working on, but it was fun and easy. I'm supposed to be working on testing the methods of marbling paper with food coloring for my day with my friend's Brownie troop this week. Instead, I sat down and made this message board, with matching thumbtacks. I like it.

On a personal note, I want to thank everyone for their kind words the other day about Spike. The actual event went really well, he seemed really happy to go back with her. I know it was the right thing to do, that didn't make it any easier though. Thanks. *hugs*

Spike was ready to go back I think. He actually recognized the lady's car at the corner, and pulled me right over to her. Then he tried to jump in the car over her as soon as she opened the door. I think he knew what was right for him too. :)

I'm sorry you had to let Spike go. He was such a sweetie. But at least you'll have your other sweet doggie back to normal again.

And that's an adorable message board thing. Did you just paint an embroidery hoop blue, or is the outside part covered in fabric?

I actually used a Green Prismacolor marker on the outside of the hoop. It worked better than I expected.

I really like that board! Neat idea. What did you put underneath the fabric?

Also, I'm glad everything went well with Spike. There was a time when we were seriously thinking about finding a new home for one of ours (she can be quite aggressive) and it really tore me up... so I can imagine how heartbreaking it must have been, even though it was for the best. *hugs*

There's cardboard underneath the fabric, I cut it slightly larger than the smaller hoop so it fits really tightly.
