Can someone please explain to me the lumberjack chic that happened on Glee last night during their rendition of My Chemical Romance's "Sing"? I mean, the song was fine (not my favorite certainly), but what was with the outfits? Do not comprehend.

On another Glee note (I'm sorry non-Glee following friends, I'm almost done) I've read about Murphy's plans for Blaine in the upcoming episodes - something we got the sneak preview for in the clips for next week. It's not a secret that I love Murphy's shows, I wouldn't be watching Glee if I didn't. (I'm unapologetically a Nip/Tuck fan you know.) And part of what I love is the over-the-top crackiness of his writing. It's not real people, and it's not supposed to be. But he does get into some touchy subjects (eg. Kurt & Karofsky's gay/bullying whatever the hell you want to call that plotline) and the whole Blaine's going to be exploring bi-sexuality thing...well I don't know what to make of it. As much as I'm sure there's a whole slew of fans that are going to be whining about it FOREVER, I'm sort of looking forward to it. I mean, lets be honest, if this show had been on when I was in high school (I wouldn't have been allowed to watch it, but if I had) that sort of plot-line would've blown my freaking mind. I mean, I was raised in such a restrictive/repressive environment that I've been struggling with my own preferences, my own sexuality, for YEARS. I mean, I know what I want, but accepting things about yourself is a hell of a lot harder that just knowing them.

I just added a bunch of people that LJ forgot to tell me added me at some point. Sorry about that people! If you're new, sorry to bring you in on such a weird post. Ha! That's me.

Matt and I went out for a very non-romantic Valentine's Day on Monday. Dinner at Arby's, shopping at Target. But afterwards, we stopped by GameStop and picked up Dead Space 2 for him, and the Your Shape Fitness thing for me that I was talking about. It reminds me so much of YourSelf Fitness, and I've worked with it a little just to figure out what all the options are. It looks like there's a download for a Bollywood workout, which I'm totally interested in trying since I can't make it to the Bollywood class in town. I doubt it'll be exactly the same, but it's better than no dancing at all, so there's that.

PS. I'm signed up for both the scifibigbang and the "biowarebang The timelines are similar, but one is 25k and one is 10k, so I think I'll be fine. (I say that now.)

Also, this morning while procrastinating actual work, I figured out the perfect warm-up exercise for my music class at Warrior Weekend. It'll get people warmed up and teach them basic rhythm at the same time. <3

Our Valentine's was pretty non-romantic too but still a lot of fun. It doesn't have to be a big production, just a nice time with someone you love.

Your V-Day sounds like ours out here. Except it was a trip to Carl's Jr., LOL. (Though he did get the girls a little box of chocolates.)

I'm not sure which other Big Bang you signed up for (the link isn't showing up), but I'm fighting the urge to not sign up for [community profile] hardmode (it's a video game big bang), but, dude, my resolve is crumbling. The low word count makes it ultra tempting. The woes of a fangirl. ROFL

Edited for grammar fail. LOL

That should say biowarebang. Like I need another reason to write about Dragon Age though? *sigh* [community profile] hardmode sounds cool though, I'll check it out!

I have no idea what the point of the Sing wardrobe was. My best guess is they just wanted a reason to have Sue in a plaid tracksuit.

My feelings about the Blaine/Rachel thing are mixed. On the one hand, hooray for acknowledgment that bisexuality exists! Also, something about that pairing intrigues me, and I'm not sure why. On the other hand, I was kind of hoping we'd see a straight character questioning whether he or she is bi. It seems to me that since straight is the "default" in society, it'd be far more likely to find someone who identifies as the default questioning whether he truly is than someone who has accepted that he is not the default and gone through the process of coming out realizing he actually might like girls after all. It just pings me wrong. Plus, I'm pretty sick of focusing on Blaine. Expanding a cast is cool and all, but not to the detriment of the characters who were there already. Shelve Blaine for a bit and give me more Mercedes, Tina, Mike, Artie, and even Kurt, please.

Agreed. I'd actually much rather see it from a seemingly straight character, while logically it's true that it could happen from either side, I'm also tired of the Blaine. They've tip-toed around it SO MUCH with Santana and Brittney, that'd if we could take those characters seriously for like five minutes, it'd be an interesting plotline.
