More online stuff & health info

So, does anyone else use FriendFeed? I really like the idea of lifestreaming sites, but the ones I've looked at or used in the past haven't been as complete as FF seems to be. Plus, with their new beta look, it's pretty clean to look at and easy to use. Fast...but easy. Okay, so, it might seem like just another place to sign-up. So, I'm online pretty much all the time, whether it be for myself or for GA, or for something else, I'm almost always around. That means checking a bunch of different places all the time. Now, FF isn't going to eliminate all the places I need to check, but it will help me prioritize them. For instance, there's several forums I check a few times a week - and sometimes there's new posts, but nothing I necessarily need to involve myself in, or respond to. I can import into FF the forum's RSS and see in the livestream when that forum has been updated and whether or not the post is something I want to read. This'll make keeping up with forums pretty easy. Of course one of the neatest things about it is the interaction with people - so no matter if it's a post from FF or something someone has imported you can 'like' or comment on items which is more engaging than @replies on Twitter. Now, if you're not online all the time, maybe it's not for you. But if you are, it's definitely worth a look. (I'm Cherith there.)

Tiny Health update. Mostly, this is for those of you that might hang out with me in real life. I am taking the anti-seizure meds my GP prescribed me. (They were much less a hassle to acquire than initially thought.) Anyhow, I do have to wear some sort of medical identification stating that I'm taking them, because they effect my nervous system. I'm only on day 3, so I'm not sure how they're working just yet. But I'm letting people know, just in case.

Hope your doing ok on those meds. They can really knock you around for the first few weeks of taking them. Not sure if you know I take seizure meds too. Pm me any time on S2WG if you want to talk about them.

Thanks. I seem to be doing okay for the most part. I'm not 100% sure how they're working, but it's only been a few days.

FF is what 'they' call a livestream. Basically, it's a way to keep track of all the places you have online - FF friends can comment or like your posts - and it's an easier way to have conversations about what you're doing online.

For example - if you twittered a picture of one of your cats, it would show up in your friendfeed. Then, if I saw it, I could comment on it within FF in real time, and we could have an entire discussion right within the site and it would all show up as it happens.

Like I said above - it's also an easy way to keep track of places you don't visit everyday (sort of like an RSS reader) (they call them Imaginary Friends on FF) and know what's going on at multiple places without having to visit them.
