Matt's party went really well this weekend. I think my best accomplishment was that he managed to be completely surprised. He had the most confused look on his face at seeing everyone in the basement waiting to surprise him. *grin* I hope everyone had a good time, from those I've talked to so far it seemed like everyone did. He was very impressed with the picture board I did with lots of little blonde-haired Matthew pictures and some of him and parents when he was little. I didn't plan for enough food, like I'd hoped, the pizza was pretty much gone as soon as I announced it was there. For those of us that were still around at the end of the night, we orded some Chinese food to fill us up.

Sunday wasn't enough of a day to recover from it all, I'm glad that we took Tuesday and Wednesday off. This day is slow but much more bearable knowing I can sleep in for another two days this week. *grin*

Oh, Wow! Semagic is finally getting music added to my entries. It hasn't done that in a long while. It's a small thing, but it makes me happy.

So, I received my first real writing rejection this morning. Not the best thing to get right before I start writing for NaNo for the first time, but at least I got a response. The story is already being published by the community I wrote it for, I was just hoping to get it a bit of paid exposure. Really, I'm not that surprised, I wasn't expecting them to accept it. In the time I've been waiting, I've found a few other places I think it's better suited for, so I'll probably keep sending it on.

Speaking of NaNoWriMo - if you're writing fantasy, we'll be running a few word wars and other good challenges over at creativefantasy. I'll probably be running most of them, the way things go over there. But I'm looking forward to putting them up.

Sci-fi/Fantasy, close enough. I'm all about the modern day/urban fantasy usually. And alt. religion type fics. *shrug* Check us out, I'm sure you'll fit right in.

I'm looking forward to what you write.

Oh, I got the first Storm Warden book, I'm squeezing in between things I'm reading for school, I like it!!

Have you read "Strange Candy" yet? I read it at work last weekend. Its pretty short, but had some interesting short stories in it with plots and everything.

I haven't read Strange Candy yet, but I've heard it's got some things worth reading.

I'm glad you're enjoying the first of the Weather Wardens books, they're definitely fun.
