Today's Music & a question.

Does anyone have a LIVE version of Halcyon by Orbital? I know shadowfell does, I gave it to her.  I'm listening to it on my Launchcast station at work right now, and am wishing I had it at home.  Such a fun song at the end.

Today's Music: Johnny Lang
Blues, rock, whatever; get it here.  Good guitar type music of the better than John Mayer variety.  Johnny is interesting, hitting it big at a pretty young age, 13 I think.  He's in his 20's now, and although not as popular as he could be, has a few songs they play frequently on the radio.  The one I hear most often is Red Light.  I'm not a big fan of this type of music, but my father's had a great impact on my taste in music over the years, and this is one of them.  If you like this I suggest you might like John Mayer (I don't think he's that great), John Prine, or Mark Knopfler (I think that's how you spell it). The latter two are some older guys that have been at this a long time, and know how to do it right.  Mark, I believe is from the band Dire Straits.  Enjoy

I'm actually a Jonny Lang fan, especially after seeing him live at last years Blues & Roots festival. I was SO impressed! I prefer his 1996 Lie To Me album over his more recent one though.

I also like John Prine :D

I've not been able to grab any of this music off you though, at least not from work. T'is a pity.

Well, I'm leaving it up all night, so I hope you can grab it from home? Maybe?

I would love it!! The whole, "shot thru the heart", "heaven is a place on earth" thing just really made me happy. *grins*

Did you get any good birthday presents?

How come the guitar virtuosos who are turning out records by age 8 are always blues rock guitarists? You never hear of a 13 year-old flamenco guitar wonder. Just curious.

Well, maybe there are young flamenco guitarists, just not here in the states. Although, I doubt it. I think blues is probably a more forgiving genre when it comes to new, young talent.
